Get to know De'Andre Psalter.
Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, De’Andre Salter is a successful entrepreneur, financial educator and author.
Always hard-working and highly motivated, Salter earned his degree from Drew University in only three years and upon graduation, joined the insurance industry as an underwriter and quickly found professional success. At age 21, he learned the difference between making money and building wealth, which ended with him filing for bankruptcy. This caused him to take a hard look at himself and shift his behaviors to become a better person. After bankruptcy, he committed to pursing God’s plan to gain the world without losing his soul.
Salter went on to build a stellar twenty-year career as senior vice president with three different Fortune 100 insurance companies and his faith served as inspiration for building Professional Risk Solutions, a global insurance brokerage by age thirty.
Never losing sight of his relentless passion to help others to strengthen their faith, families and communities, Salter now is focusing on increasing wealth in black and brown communities by hosting workshops online and around the world. He believes the racial wealth gap is a sin and the impending wealth transfer is a Tsunami that may wipe out black and brown peoples.
Salter is a duly consecrated Bishop, in the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops and the Macedonia International Bible Fellowship (MIBF). He also serves as lead pastor of Impact Church in South Plainfield, New Jersey and has been happily married to his childhood sweetheart, Terri, for over twenty-five years. Together they have four children. He holds a Master of Theology from Kings University and is pursuing his doctorate. He also serves on many boards, including a recent term on the board of trustees at his undergraduate alma mater, Drew University.
